Catherine Lette is a British contemporary visual artist born in 1979. Lette’s work is primarily concerned with the figure and questioning the impact of contemporary life upon the body and mind.

Lette uses current events and those who surround her as inspiration, she draws and paints from life alongside memory, exploring embodiment and disembodiment through real and virtual spaces.

Drawing from life, memory and photography Lette’s artworks are populated with the figures around her moving between a state of painted reality and fiction. The figures are often broken down or distorted in a parody of their own activities, mixing humour and irony with an underlying question about societal anxiety.

Catherine Lette has exhibited in multiple group exhibitions in the UK.
