Adidas Superstar Plate is a ceramic plate by Haus of Lucy. From an edition of 30 this exclusive artwork is signed and numbered on the back and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
'Call it fashion, call it functionable sportswear, but whatever Adidas put out it consistently hits the style spot. My first Adidas was a pair of black suede Gazelles in 1992 which I used to wear with cords or a 70s dress... but it was the 90s. Since then I've always had a pair or three in my wardbrobe and my current favourites are the Zx 6000 Trainer, a gold sequin affair, because it's like having a party on your feet. To quote Run DMC, 'We make a mean team, my Adidas and me'

Our Notes
Adidas Superstar Plate is the latest exclusive plate release from Haus of Lucy, and it perfectly encapsulates the spirit and cultural significance of the 1986 Adidas Superstar sneakers. We love how faithfully Lucy reproduces every element, from the signature shell toe to the iconic three stripes, capturing the essence of the original sneaker edition. With her depiction of the 1986 Superstar edition, Haus of Lucy pays homage to the legendary 'My Adidas' tune by the influential group RUN DMC, who played a pivotal role in catapulting the Superstars to cult status. RUN DMC are known for their ground-breaking fusion of rap and rock, and they famously rocked these classic sneakers throughout their iconic US concert tour, cementing the connection between the Superstars and the world of music and fashion. This limited edition plate is a must-have for all sneaker enthusiasts, collectors, and RUN DMC fans, giving you the unmissable opportunity to own a piece of history that celebrates the enduring legacy of the Adidas Superstar and its connection to music, fashion, and cultural movements.

What is Archival Giclée
Giclée (/ʒiːˈkleɪ/ zhee-KLAY) is a neologism, ultimately derived from the French word gicleur, coined in 1991 by printmaker Jack Duganne for fine art digital prints made using inkjet printers. The name was originally applied to fine art prints created on a modified Iris printer in a process invented in the late 1980s. It has since been used widely to mean any fine-art printing, usually archival, printed by inkjet. It is often used by artists, galleries, and print shops for their high quality printing, but is also used generically for art printing of any quality.
