Alan Aldridge

Alan Aldridge is an English artist, graphic designer and illustrator. Alan is well known for his stunning album artwork prints and the popular picture book ‘The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper Feast’. After producing some freelance book covers for ‘Penguin Books’ Alan Aldridge was hired to become the art director of Penguin. In 1968 Alan developed his own graphic-design company called INK, which became closely involved with graphic images for the Beatles and Apple Corps. During the 1960s and 1970s, Alan Aldridge was highly responsible for a great number of album covers, and changed the graphic style of that era. Additionally, Aldridge is well known for creating the artwork for ‘Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy’ by Elton John in 1975.
