    Details

The work of contemporary artist Joe Webb sees a return to ‘analogue methods’ in beautifully retro style. Opting for painstakingly crafted collage techniques, Webb’s work is reminiscent of early Paolozzi, layering together found images and photographs from vintage magazines, to create surreal and often esoteric prints.

Playing on Neil Armstrong’s immemorial words, ’Giant Leap’ depicts the curve of the earth as seen from space, set against an inky black sky. In the foreground, Webb has collage a black and white diving board from which a swimmer leaps, his back turned towards the viewer as he takes the plunge towards mother earth. Brilliantly imaginative and beautifully executed, Webb’s piece is a gem of contemporary Pop printing.

Please Note:The print and frame are dispatched separately.

Framed in a polished jet black 25mm deep frame.
