Shadow Floating is a method used to beautifully mount artwork onto a foam core using Artcare™ Restore™, a fully archival and reversible mount. The result is the artwork appearing to float securely upon a backing mount board - creating a wonderful shadow. Our top recommendation when framing artwork with deckled edges (hand-torn).

Float Mounting is a method used to beautifully mount artwork directly onto a backing mount board. The result is the artwork sitting upon a backing mount board with a 3cm distance between the inside of the frame profile and the edge of the paper (Our top recommendation when framing artwork with deckled edges ‘beautifully hand-torn’).

    Details

Eddy Bennett is an internationally acclaimed British artist, whose typographical prints and originals are deeply reminiscent of the early Pop Art styles of Andy Warhol and Eduardo Paolozzi. True to Pop form, Bennett’s work turns around themes of consumerism and advertising, using collage techniques and bright, bold colours to evoke the nostalgia of retro branding. ‘Cold Beer Showcard’ resembles a brightly coloured showcard, advertising ‘6 cans’ of ‘cold beer’ for only ‘£5.00’. Bennett’s print brings together graphic types and colours, symbols and motifs, transforming the pure kitsch of the tacky advertising board into a truly innovative work of art.
