Shadow Floating is a method used to beautifully mount artwork onto a foam core using Artcare™ Restore™, a fully archival and reversible mount. The result is the artwork appearing to float securely upon a backing mount board - creating a wonderful shadow. Our top recommendation when framing artwork with deckled edges (hand-torn).

Float Mounting is a method used to beautifully mount artwork directly onto a backing mount board. The result is the artwork sitting upon a backing mount board with a 3cm distance between the inside of the frame profile and the edge of the paper (Our top recommendation when framing artwork with deckled edges ‘beautifully hand-torn’).

    Details

Contemporary artist Dirty Hans cites Toulouse-Lautrec and Lichtenstein amongst his greatest influences: an unlikely pairing of art greats, the result is Dirty Hans’ own unique and striking aesthetic, by turns gritty and poppy, in artful measures. His work riffs off 1950s pop culture, from music to movies to magazines, updating Pop Art styles with an innovative combination of acrylic and spray-paint, merged with digital techniques.

Your average street by day - unassuming gift shops, merch stores, and sushi stands - transforms into a seedy sojourn by night, as sordid, silhouetted activities take place in the dimly lit windows above. As children dance across the rooftops - and even the man in the moon makes an appearance - Dirty Hans’ bustling print offers a satirical snapshot on the sleaze of city living.
