  • Step 2 Choose Mount

Shadow Floating is a method used to beautifully mount artwork onto a foam core using Artcare™ Restore™, a fully archival and reversible mount. The result is the artwork appearing to float securely upon a backing mount board - creating a wonderful shadow. Our top recommendation when framing artwork with deckled edges (hand-torn).

Float Mounting is a method used to beautifully mount artwork directly onto a backing mount board. The result is the artwork sitting upon a backing mount board with a 3cm distance between the inside of the frame profile and the edge of the paper (Our top recommendation when framing artwork with deckled edges ‘beautifully hand-torn’).

    Details

The work of contemporary artist Rosie Emerson explores the female form through a range of media. From photography to printmaking, Emerson works with diverse techniques - gilding with gold leaf, exposing negatives to the sun, or adding ash and sawdust to a painting - to tangibly depict the beauty of femininity.

Inside a carnivalesque diorama stand Charlie and Annika, one woman and her elegant, white steed. Surrounded by heraldic symbols, exotic beasts, and golden embellishment, ‘Charlie and Annika’ recalls the work of early Dada photography: stylish and surreal, dreamy and delicious, this is contemporary art at the top of its game.
