This museum art print is of Claude Monet’s oil on canvas painting ‘The Thames below Westminster’ (about 1871).This work was painted by Monet when, like Pissarro and Daubigny, he moved to London during the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1). The beautiful image depicts the capital on a misty spring day, with the Houses or Parliament and Westminster Bridge in the background. The original painting is now held in The National Gallery collection, having been bequeathed by Lord Astor of Hever in 1971.Click these words to find similar printsEuropean Impressionism Neutral Landscape Cityscape Seascape Art Prints for Frames THIS PRINT IS IN THE SALE AS IT HAS SOME MINOR DAMAGE - CREASED CORNER AND SCUFF MARKS - THERE IS NO RETURN AVAILABLE ON THIS SALE PLEASE MESSAGE IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE DETAILS OF THE DAMAGE
