James Marsh Artist Biography
James Marsh is best known for his work with the 80's band Talk Talk. He created all of the artwork for all the band's releases over the course of their ten year lifespan from 1981-1991. Marsh's surreal art uses a great deal of symbolism and natural motifs, sometimes incorporating optical illusions. James Marsh continues to works as an artist, illustrator, designer and author. He has worked in all areas of the media, including posters and packaging to books and magazine covers. He has worked for many major companies including: Time Inc, British Airways, London Transport, The Royal Mail, National Express, Bull, BP, Bata, TDK. IBM, Peugeot, Mitsubishi, General Motors, Courvoisier, Seattle Oprea Company, EMI, Polydor, Sony, Imax, Times Newspapers, Penguin Books Harper Collins, Random House. In 2003 the Independent Newspaper named him in 'The Top Ten Leading illustrators". He is a founder member of the Association of Illustrators and has lectured on his work in the USA, Canada and the UK. His paintings hang in Public and Private Collections throughout the World.
