Mr Brainwash creates artwork for Madonna Album cover

Madonna has just released details of her forthcoming greatest hits album ‘Celebration’, to be released on 28th September, and Mr Brainwash has created an outstanding design for the sleeve.

The new work for the "Celebration" cover is based on the classic Madonna shot by Jean-Baptiste Mondino first seen on "Bazaar" magazine in 1990.

Earlier works by Mr Brainwash to feature Madonna include, combining Madonna and Andy Warhol’s classic Marilyn hair, and 'Freedom Kiss’ taken from that now infamous kiss between Britney Spears and Madonna at the 2003 MTV awards (featured and the 2008 Cans Festival in London).

Mr. Brainwash started his career in France as a documentary film maker to become later a popular street artist. He currently resides in L.A and where he is a well known graffiti artist.

His work combines modern cultural icons, Pop and Graffiti art styles with bold colour and brilliant splashes of paint.  No celebrity is safe from the Mr Brainwash treatment here a just some of the legends to go under the paintbrush, Elvis Presley, Muhammad Ali, Barack Obama, Andy Warhol and even the Queen.

With a major show in London coming up later this year, 2009 is turning out to be a very big year for fans on Mr Brainwash.
