‘Harry Fett - Pink Fade’ is a Giclée Print with Silkscreen detail by highly sought after artist RYCA. From a limited edition of 20, the print is signed and numbered by the artist.
The work of RYCA has developed something of a reputation in the contemporary art world: the pop-art-meets-street-art style has established RYCA as a leading figure in the evolving street scene and a name to watch. His work frequently incorporates familiar figures from Star Wars, transplanting them into other pop-culture contexts to create an aesthetic of skewed nostalgia which is always playful, a little ironic and oh-so spirited.
His latest print, ‘Harry Fett - Pink’ reworks the iconic poster image from cult 1970s film Dirty Harry, with the familiar helmeted head of Star Wars bounty hunter, Boba Fett. RYCA has captured Harry’s sharp suit in classic monochrome, while the barrel of his revolver thrusts out of the print, towards the viewer. Around the figure, RYCA has contrived paint drips, for a sense of texture and dynamism, and set the image against a red fade background for a bold injection of colour.
