Silkscreen Signed Limited Edition of 40

    Details

This serigraph screen print on beautiful Heritage Rag archival 300gsm paper is an original print hand-made by Brighton-based contemporary artist John Simpson. The monochromatic study is an intricate portrait of human-minotaur hybrid creature. The work is characteristic of Simpson’s complex detail and the close attention he pays to humans’ link with nature. It is part of a series of prints and studies inspired by Greek mythology and folktales. “I use references to folktale or myth to allude to the history of painting and the human relationship with other animals but I don’t intend to illustrate the myth, it’s just a spark for an idea.” (John Simpson)Click these words to find similar printsSilk Screen Prints Limited Edition Contemporary Art Mythology / Legends Weird and Wonderful British Black and White Figurative Buy Art, Pay Later
