About Henri Matisse
Henri-Émile-Benoît Matisse was a French artist, known for his brightly coloured compositions full of movement and life. He was one of the founding members of the fauvists, known for their use of shocking and un-naturalistic colours. Alongside Pablo Picasso and Marcel Duchamp, Matisse is often regarded as one of the three artists who fundamentally revolutionized art in the 20th century.
