Brighton Beach (Silkscreen Signed Limited Edition of 75) by Andy McLynn

Familiarity with his subject matter allows Andy to take liberties with it, and to focus on the composition of the image.  His work starts with a thumbnail sketch of a layout, working from memory.  He then returns to the subject and draws upon it using the detail to provide the texture and pattern, such recognizable elements as windows, facades, outline of roofs against the sky enable him to build up a graphic construction that is dense and complex without being overpowering.
