What the artist says about this piece  'As a child I was once told that the act of putting on girls clothing could turn a boy gay.  My expression of this experience has resulted in Ballet Boy. The boy in the tu-tu holding his willy, could be seen as ‘getting-off’ on wearing a tutu, which refers to peoples desires, fetishes and guilty pleasures.  But it is also about it is also a boy holding onto his ‘manhood’ saying – I might be in girls clothing but I’m still a boy- I might be gay, but I’m still a man.'
