Graffiti artists Risk and RETNA have unveiled a huge 4 story 40ft by 100ft collaborative mural on the side of a house in Santa Monica. The piece highlights the work of Heal the Bay an environmental group working to restore Santa Monica Bay. Risk's layered colour fields signify, from top to bottom: sky (orange/yellow), pollution (purple), and water (green and blue). The colours serve as a beautiful, metal-flaked backdrop to RETNA's trademark hieroglyphics. From top to bottom, that text reads: Oceans At Risk, Heal The Bay, Sea Shepherd, Mad Society and Restore And Protect The Worlds Oceans. |
