Tracey Emin to design official poster for the London 2012 Olympics

Tracey Emin has been announced as one of the 12 British artists chosen to design the official London 2012 posters. The other artists taking part and creating a poster include Fiona Banner, Michael Craig-Martin, Martin Creed, Anthea Hamilton, Howard Hodgkin, Gary Hume, Sarah Morris, Chris Ofili, Bridget Riley, Bob and Roberta Smith and Rachel Whiteread. All the posters will be on show in a free exhibition at Tate Britain as part of the London 2012 Festival, and will go on sale this autumn. There will also be a range of other free events taking places as part of the Cultural Olympiad finale, which takes place 21 June – 9 September 2012.
