Peter Blake designs new Brit Award

Sir Peter Blake has recently had the pleasure of designing the new statue for the BRIT Awards 2012. The famous British Pop artist has given the statue a modern make over, using the three colours of the Union Jack flag turning the BRIT Award statue into a modern trophy for 2012, but one with echoes of the swinging sixties, the decade when Blake first rose to prominence. Blake has created some of the most iconic artwork for album sleeves from The Beatles Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band to Paul Weller’s Stanley Road.
