Museums Collection at Musee d'Art Moderne on artrepublic.com

The Musee d'Arte Moderne is housed in the Palais de Tokyo, a building specially commissioned for the the 1937 World Exhibition, along with one of the major exhibits, 'La Fee Electricite', a huge painting by Raoul Dufy for the Light Pavilion.

Most of the major artistic styles of the twentieth are featured here, including works by Braque, Picasso, Delaunay, Leger, Roualt, Utrillo and one room entirely devoted to works by Matisse displaying 2 versions of his famous painting La Danse. The museum also devotes a special section to art deco furniture and objets d'art and photography and textiles are prominently displayed.

There is also a collection of contemporary art housed here, and a collection of sculpture. Some of the art works on display come from the Pompidou Centre, namely several Alexander Calder mobiles and Picasso's monumental 1962 work Femme aux bras écartés (Woman with Open Arms).
