Tate Liverpool is the home of the National Collection of Modern Art in the North of England and the largest gallery of modern and contemporary art outside London. Tate Liverpool is housed in a beautiful converted warehouse which is part of the historic Albert Dock. The Gallery displays work from the Tate Collection organised into themed exhibitions, with a focus on Modern and contemporary artists. As well as the well known favoirites of Twentieth Century art, Tate Liverpool is also a space for up and coming new artists who are less familiar to its audience. There are also major retrosperctives of indiviadul artists. Currently on view are a diverse range of artists such as Tracey Emin, Duncan Grant, Peter Blake, Gilbert and George and Edvard Munch.
