The Thomas Brothers are a sibling duo who create work inspired by 80’s cartoons, comic book imagery and references from their childhood. The brothers use their close bond to their advantage, creating artwork that represents their common interests and helps visualise the strong connection between the siblings.
The Thomas Brothers are a sibling duo who create work inspired by 80’s cartoons, comic book imagery and references from their childhood. The brothers use their close bond to their advantage, creating artwork that represents their common interests and helps visualise the strong connection between the siblings. We love how their distinctive imagery is heavily influenced by their youth. The brothers state that “our childhood seeps into our work, from the comic-style drawings to graffiti and popular culture”. This nostalgic influence makes their work an extremely distinctive melting pot of artistic references that are a delight to the eye.
The Thomas Brothers chose different paths at university, with one choosing to train in Illustration and Fine Art, and the other in Media and Film. Currently they work as full-time artists, both as a duo and separately. Their work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, such as the Heroes and Villains exhibition organised by Vertical Gallery in 2015. The brothers have also featured in the Urban in Ibiza 6 exhibition at Atzaro, where their work was displayed alongside artists such as Pure Evil and Banksy. They also participated in a charity exhibition for The Amy Winehouse Foundation in London.
We’ve been working with The Thomas Brothers since 2014.
