Sage Vaughn
Sage VaughnSage Vaughn is an LA based painter and illustrator who is best recognised for his ‘Wildlife’ series depicting colourful butterflies, owls and sparrows, in otherwise melancholic, city scenes. This is one of the hundreds of paintings Van Gogh produced while he was living in Arles in southern France. Vincent van GoghVincent van Gogh saw very little success with his work during his lifetime. Despite this he has had an enormous influence on 20th century art and was a pioneer of Expressionist art. Most of his best-known works were produced in the final two years of his life during which he suffered recurrent bouts of mental illness which eventually led to his suicide.
