A set of four prints Street Improvements one two and three all sold out on the day they were released by the publisher. As yet there is no release date for number four but it is likely to sell out just as fast. D*Face is best know for his D*Dog character who features in some form or another on most of his prints. The wings and ears seen on D*Dog have been super-imposed on portraits from the Queen to Andy Warhol. D*Face a.k.a. Dean Stockton grew up in London and had an interest in graffiti from childhood. He was inspired by the books Subway Art and Spray Can Art as well as his love of skateboarding. After getting into a design/illustration/animation course he came across the work of Obey and his Giant sticker campaign, and started to produces his own stickers and graffiti art. As well as his work as an artist D*Face has acted as curator for Stolen Space Gallery including for its current exhibition, Draw (07.03.08 - 30.03.08) |
