Stereotype is in the Eye of the Beholder… according to Charming Baker in articles from the artzine on artrepublic.com

artrepublic Soho has recently acquired two magnificent works by man of the moment Charming Baker.

Following on from his very successful recent show in East London, Charming’s reputation as an artist who can successfully bridge fine and urban art has been greatly amplified with collectors from both these worlds snapping up his original canvasses.

His work best described as darkly humorous point making, an element that has been compared with the street art style popularised by Banksy.  This description of his work is perfectly illustrated in the two original canvases we have on display in our gallery in  London : ‘Stereotype is in the Eye of the Beholder’ & ‘The Fruit of a Trivial Pursuit of Supremacy Tastes of Self Defeat’. Both of these works are unique and beautifully executed in oil paint on very fine, stretched Irish linen.

From here on, with a show to be held in the same Los Angeles based gallery that Nick Walker graced earlier in the year, the chances to own an original work of art by Charming Baker is becoming less and less. Probably best to grab yours now while you can!
