A week or so ago we told about the amazing collaboration between Shepherd Fairey, aka Obey, and Jamie Reid and this week the prints are now here in the Brighton gallery for you to get your hands on!
It is really rare to have such a project from two of urban art’s greatest heroes; the hugely famous and influential Shepherd Fairey and one of the originators of punk art Jamie Reid.
The two prints Bright Future and Shoplifters Welcome, available in two different colourways, have been released following the recent ”Ragged Kingdom” exhibition. It was Jamie Reid’s first solo show in LA at Shepherd Fairey’s gallery Subliminal Projects and is a result of various parallels in their interests, talents, and inspirations. In their own individual styles, both artists are renowned for making a statement through art and often with a strong political element and these prints definitely do not disappoint!
