New Banksy's in London in articles from the artzine on artrepublic.com

Street art legend Banksy has recently unveiled three new street pieces in Regents Canal North London, one of which has sparked a tit-for-tat feud with hugely respected graffiti writer Robbo.

The dispute between the two artists has arisen from Banksy painting over a street mural produced by Robbo in 1985.

The painting over of other street artists work is very much frowned upon within the street art community and is seen as the ultimate mark of disrespect.

Banksy addition to Robbo’s mural is typical of his style mixing stencil art and perfect placement with his famous sense of humour., however this piece in it new format has not lasted long with Robbo retaliating immediately and spraying his name in 3ft letters over the exposed part of his original work.

Banksy is no stranger to having his street work ruined with many of his street masterpieces tagged over by other artist and several being removed from the walls they were painted on and sold onto collectors.

With this high profile feud still on going this will definitely be a piece worth keeping an eye on.
